(6)                    Notice Regarding Technical Center
                            Box Issue Fee Mailings
 
   The Office will begin mailing address labels with the PTOL-85, 
"Notice of Allowance and Issue Fee Due" for patent applications allowed in 
all Technology Centers. These address labels should be used to ensure 
proper routing of post-allowance correspondence. This directive supersedes 
the "Special Boxes for Patent Mail" instruction. Any Notice of Allowance 
and Issue Fee Due received without the accompanying address labels should 
continue to be addressed to Box Issue Fee.
