(173) Filing Receipt for Trademark Applications
Effective immediately, the Trademark Examining Operation will replace
its existing "FILING RECEIPT FOR TRADEMARK APPLICATIONS," PTO Form 100
(Rev. 8/78), with a filing receipt using a new format. The revised filing
receipt will be printed on a single sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" paper and will
contain information regarding the mark, applicant, International and U.S.
classes, goods and/or services, and dates of use. If all of the
information relating to a new application cannot be printed on the 8
1/2" x 11" filing receipt, it will be noted that additional information
was contained in the application but was not printed. The addressee's
name and address will be printed on the back of the filing receipt.
