(350) New Mailing Addresses for Letters of Protest and
Native American Tribal Insignia Notifications
Beginning May 1, 2007, submissions in the nature of Letters of
Protest in pending trademark applications sent via U.S. Postal Service
first-class mail to the Office of the Commissioner for Trademarks
should be addressed to:

Any submissions relating to a Letter of Protest, including
requests for copies of letters of protest should not be
transmitted via facsimile. Letters of Protest from third parties are
not made part of the application file record. All fax transmissions to
the USPTO are scanned and uploaded to the electronic file record of the
corresponding application. Therefore, third party submissions should
only be sent via U.S. Postal Service first-class mail to the address
above.
Beginning May 1, 2007, submissions in the nature of
notifications of Native American Tribal Insignia sent via U.S. Postal
Service first-class mail to the Office of the Commissioner for
Trademarks should be addressed to:

Filers are directed to begin use the new address immediately, but
the USPTO will continue to monitor the Arlington, Virginia post office
box address for prior submissions of Native American Tribal Insignia
until October 31, 2007.
