The Patent Trial and Appeal Board will hold a 2018 PTAB Judicial Conference at the Rocky Mountain Regional Office in Denver on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. MT on the 14th floor.
The program will be the same at all locations and is intended to educate the public about aspects of Board practice as well as providing a forum to enhance the dialogue between the public and the Board. In particular, during the morning sessions, the PTAB will focus on best practices for written and oral advocacy with a judge panel discussion followed by practicum exercises for attendees. During the afternoon sessions, the PTAB will address hot topics, such as patent subject matter eligibility and motion to amend practices, through small group discussions. The conference will conclude with an interview with Chief Judge David Ruschke led by members of the local IP community to explore other recent PTAB developments and potential future changes.
Come learn how to strengthen your PTAB practice, hear directly from the PTAB judges, and meet many of them as well. There is no cost to attend and registration is not required. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
