If you have a stake in trade secret protection, don’t miss Trending Issues in Trade Secrets: 2019. This event features topics of interest to businesses owners, attorneys and practitioners, academics, and government officials. Space is limited, so register early.
Protecting trade secrets has long been a priority for both government and industry in the United States, as evidenced by strong legislation and enforcement regimes. Through symposiums it organized in 2015 and 2017, the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office has worked to foster public discussion and awareness of the important legal and business issues surrounding trade secrets.
This all-new program will give attendees an opportunity to hear about what is trending in the protection of trade secrets in the United States. Five panels will bring together experts from government, academia, the courts, and the private sector for in-depth discussions of:
- Patents or trade secrets—what is trending?
- Issues in criminal prosecutions
- Notable trade secret prosecutions
- Views from the federal bench
- Advising clients in criminal trade secret matters
