Cancer Moonshot Expedited Examination Pilot Program webinar

Are you an inventor, entrepreneur, new practitioner, or someone who wants to learn more about the Cancer Moonshot Expedited Examination Pilot Program? Join us virtually Wednesday, July 24, from 2-3 p.m. ET for an overview of the pilot program and its eligibility requirements.

Register today

The Cancer Moonshot Expedited Examination Pilot Program provides a broad scope of cancer-related technology areas eligible for fast-track review. Applications accepted into the pilot program will be advanced out of turn for examination and reviewed earlier (accorded special status) until a first Office action. Participants in the new program will not incur the "petition to make special" fee and are not required to satisfy the other requirements of the accelerated examination program.

The program is scheduled to run until January 31, 2025, or until the United States Patent and Trademark Office accepts a total of 1,000 grantable petitions, whichever is earlier.

The Cancer Moonshot Expedited Examination Pilot Program supports the White House's renewed Cancer Moonshot initiative and the Cancer Cabinet, a whole of government approach to end cancer as we know it. Agencies and departments across the Cancer Cabinet are hosting a series of virtual Community Conversations, including this webinar, to highlight key federal government initiatives driving forward the five priorities of the Cancer Moonshot initiative. Learn more about how you can join the conversations on the Cancer Moonshot events and webinars webpage.
