Dr. Temple Grandin is an inventor and pioneer in improving the welfare of livestock. Her work on animal handling methods and facilities design has fundamentally changed the industry around the world. A best-selling author and popular TED Talk speaker, Grandin is also one of the world's most well-known autistic individuals and is a leading advocate for autism awareness and acceptance.
Speaking event
Grandin will give a presentation on her work, after which she will be joined on stage by USPTO Director Andrei Iancu for conversation and questions about her career and life.
Book signing
Following the conversation, a book signing will take place in the National Inventors Hall of Fame Museum in the upper atrium of the USPTO. A limited number of books are available for purchase, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own copies of Grandin's many books for her to sign.
