Join the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), in collaboration with First Lady Jill Biden's Joining Forces initiative and the Small Business Administration (SBA) on Saturday, March 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. AT., at Fort Buchanan Community Club & Conference Center, Puerto Rico.
We welcome, The Honorable Mala Adiga, Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Policy and Strategic Projects for First Lady Jill Biden; Sheila Casey, Special Assistant to the President and Executive Director, Joining Forces; and Nestor Ramirez, Assistant Commissioner for Patents, Technology Centers 2600 and 3700, USPTO.
Participants will learn from highly regarded experts in business development and intellectual property protection and hear from successful military spouses and veteran entrepreneurs about how to start your own business and the resources and tools to help you succeed.
In addition to panel discussions on entrepreneurship, the workshop will include opportunities for an audience Q&A and a resource fair with exhibitors from entrepreneurship support organizations.
Joining Forces is First Lady Jill Biden’s initiative to support military and veteran families, caregivers, and survivors with a focus on military spouse economic opportunity, military child education, and health and well-being.
This in-person event is free and open to service members, military family members, veterans, and DOD civilians.
