Patent drafting is a crucial skill in protecting your invention. Experts from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will lead a workshop explaining the various parts of a patent application. This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited so register early
Attendees will learn about the formalities and requirements of drafting a patent application as well as common pitfalls. Attendees should have an intermediate knowledge of the intellectual property system, and patents specifically. It is recommended that attendees take the previous course “Learn the basics of intellectual property with a focus on patents” before taking this workshop.
Please note that the Silicon Valley USPTO is a federal facility. Attendees are required to present a valid form of government-issued identification (driver license or passport) and may be subject to screening to gain access.
