On February 21, the National Science and Technology Medals Foundation (NSTMF) in partnership with the USPTO will host An Evening With Steve Sasson, inventor of the digital camera, at the University of South Florida for an evening of invention and inspiration. Dr. Sasson will speak with students, faculty, and community members about his experiences as a student and his remarkable career as the pioneer of digital photography.
The conversation will cover Mr. Sasson’s breakthroughs that led to the digital camera, his current work protecting patents, and much more. The audience will have the opportunity to ask Mr. Sasson questions following the interview. The program will conclude with a short reception for all.
This event is free and open to the public. To attend the event in person, please register. If you cannot join us in Florida, the event will be available to all via live webcast on the NSTMF Facebook page.
