Are you a Computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineer looking to launch your career? Do you want to work at the cutting-edge of innovation? Is a career in public service meaningful to you?
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is currently hiring entry-level patent examiners to join our team in Silicon Valley. So if you answered "yes" to any of the questions above, we want to meet you!
Join us for a patent examiner recruitment open house today, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or tomorrow, Saturday, May 11, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the USPTO's Silicon Valley Regional Office in San Jose, California. Walk-ins are welcome!
After attending an info session, you can meet directly afterwards with recruiters to learn more about the unique technical qualifications we are looking for in engineers who will be hired to become patent examiners. Our recruiters will be ready with answers to all your questions. You'll also receive information about our competitive salary, benefits, work-life balance and why the USPTO is consistently ranked one of the best places to work in the federal government.
You will also have the opportunity to speak to USPTO recruiters about our current job openings and how to apply via USAJobs.gov. There will be no on-site interviews at this event. Those who qualify will be encouraged to apply (candidates cannot be officially considered for open positions without submitting a completed application within USAJobs.gov).
