Ben Glenn, Partner, Shay Glenn LLP
Benjamin Glenn is a partner at Shay Glenn LLP, where he specializes in strategic patents and innovations counseling. Ben’s litigation, patent prosecution, and strategic counseling experience in a range of technologies allow him to assist clients in establishing and protecting valuable intellectual property (IP) portfolios. Richard Levy, Toy Inventor
Richard Levy is a forty-five year toy industry veteran inventor who has negotiated over 125 royalty/licensing agreements including for the global phenom animatronic Furby®, and best-selling games based upon “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus” and “Chicken Soup for the Soul.” His 12th book now in its 3rd edition, the critically-acclaimed Toy and Game Inventor’s Handbook, contains invaluable templates for royalty-based licensing agreements that have been annotated by experienced agents. He has been profiled on Discovery Channel’s Invention series, and in interviews with The New York Times, and The Washington Post. A Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Inventor-of-the-Week, Richard has spoken at Wharton’s Entrepreneurship Conference, IBM’s Inventor Dinner, University of Hawaii’s Shidler College of Business and the USPTO’s Independent Inventors Conference, among many other engagements.
Bill Seidel, Principal, America Invents LLC
Bill Seidel is an expert witness, an authority on the marketing of innovation, and an educator. From toys and games to environmental breakthroughs and universally effective disinfectants, he has created millions of dollars, developed thousands of products, and executed hundreds of license agreements. He owns America Invents and scouts for products to fill market gaps to develop, license, and market.
Larry Udell, Founder and Chair Emeritus of the LES-SVC
Larry Udell is best known as founder and Chairman of the California Invention Center created in 1995 at California State University with federal funds. He has taught courses, New Ventures & Entrepreneurship for over 40 years at universities throughout the United States and in foreign countries for World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). A member of the Licensing Executives Society since 1982, he founded the Silicon Valley Chapter in 2000, which today is the number one chapter in Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) countries.
