Are you interested in the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs? Then you may benefit from learning more about intellectual property (IP). Understanding patents, trade secrets, trademarks, and copyrights is necessary to protect your ideas, products, and product names in today’s knowledge economy.

This free 60-minute webinar, heard from experts from the SBA’s Office of Investment and Innovation and the United States Patent and Trademark Office's (USPTO) Office of Policy and International Affairs who spoke about the SBIR/STTR programs, the importance of IP protection, and resources that are available from both agencies.

The USPTO will host a separate series of webinars in fall 2021–early winter 2022, open only to small businesses engaged in either Phase 1 or Phase 2 of the SBIR/STTR programs.
