Speaker biographies
Charlotte Bowens, Founder, Conscious Gear
Rose Matthes, Co-founder, Poplight
Rose Matthes spent three years designing Poplight and thinking through everything needed in an ideal wall light. She started Poplight because she and her wife had a problem with their home’s lighting options and learned other people were also struggling with adding cute wall lighting on a budget without risking their security deposit or spending thousands on an electrician. As a solution to their problem they created Poplight, the world’s first stick-on wall light that adheres securely to almost any finished wall surface. It has been featured in Apartment Therapy, The Wall Street Journal, and Design Milk. Matthes and her wife also appeared on Shark Tank landing a deal with Kevin O’Leary.

I believe every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, persevere, and thrive, and that is why I founded Lady Trailblazer.” Her commitment to serve is a part of her DNA. She is committed to empowering the next generation of women leaders by developing equitable and sustainable curricula and relevant problem-solving applications.
