IP and Music: Feel the beat of IP
Join the USPTO, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the U.S. Copyright Office, and other supporting organizations for a special program on April 30 at the U.S. Capitol to celebrate World Intellectual Property Day 2025.
World Intellectual Property Day is an annual international observance, traditionally celebrated on April 26, that provides an opportunity to learn about the role that intellectual property (IP) rights play in encouraging innovation and creativity.
This year’s theme, IP and music: Feel the beat of IP, focuses on how creativity and innovation, backed by IP rights, support a thriving music scene that benefits everyone, everywhere.
The program will feature opening remarks from Coke Morgan Stewart, Acting Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Acting Director of the USPTO. There will also be prominent speakers from government, Congress, and the private sector. The event is sponsored by Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Intellectual Property.
At this time, this is an in-person program. Virtual attendance may be an option. We will update this page with that information when available. If you're interested in the opportunity to attend virtually, please add a “remote attendance only” ticket when registering.
There is no fee to attend, but advance registration is required.
