Press and media relations

The office facilitates media interviews with senior agency officials and writes and distributes press releases and media advisories. It also ensures broad distribution of up-to-date and accurate information about the USPTO and intellectual property protection by proactively pitching news stories, profiles, and opinion editorial pieces to media outlets throughout the country and through common social media channels.

Digital and Creative Communications Division

The Digital and Creative Communications Division in OCCO manages the online communication facets for both agency employees and public audiences. Our goal is to help the USPTO speak with one recognizable "voice" while maintaining a commitment to quality web-based information and visual experiences for everyone.

Media and Marketing Division

The Media and Marketing Division in OCCO develops and manages information, marketing, and storytelling campaigns about USPTO programs and initiatives aimed at informing various external stakeholder audiences, including media outlets, inventors and entrepreneurs, and IP practitioners.
