The Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) provides day-to-day management and oversight of a workforce spanning application and system development, quality assurance, strategic planning and governance, program management, enterprise services & tools, and infrastructure engineering and operations. The DCIO provides leadership to transform and streamline USPTO technologies, processes, and methodologies for stronger IT delivery and efficiency for internal and global customers.

Business Product Delivery Office
The Business Product Delivery Office (BPDO) is a product-centric, DevSecOps organization that delivers business value to customers via software, from the initial design to the deployment and ongoing operation.

The End User Services Office delivers advanced technological support to the USPTO and its customers with a focus on service excellence. This Office offers support for the agency’s suite of IT tools, including video conferencing and webcasting services for stronger collaboration for all stakeholders.

Enterprise Infrastructure Delivery Office
The Enterprise Infrastructure Delivery Office (EIDO) manages and monitors the agency's technology infrastructure, networks, engineering platforms, and system architecture, and develops and oversees infrastructure components (hardware, storage, firewalls). This Office's teams establish and enforce security measures, manage identity access systems, and steer capacity and performance planning for computer resources. Overall, EIDO teams are responsible for the performance and reliability of all IT infrastructure product components.

Information Technology Transformation Office
The Information Technology Transformation Office (ITTO) oversees enterprise IT architecture, provides enterprise data management, and evaluates and applies emerging technologies to meet changing customer needs in line with our agency’s business strategy.

Resource Management Office
The Resource Management Office (RMO) ensures the budgetary, contractual, and human capital resources are in place to support USPTO’s IT product investments. The Office develops, maintains, and oversees OCIO budgets, and ensures compliance with guiding fiscal regulations, policies, and procedures. This Office also manages the acquisition life cycle for IT products and services, and drives workforce strategy, planning, and development for internal OCIO resources.
