Inventor Info Chat: Claim Drafting - Webcast

Join us at the Silicon Valley USPTO in San Jose to view the Inventor Info Chat series January topic: Claim Drafting. The series is designed to provide inventors with relevant information on topics that assist with applying for a patent. Each Inventor Info Chat webinar includes speaker(s) presenting for approximately 30 minutes with the remaining time for questions and comments.  A Silicon Valley resource supervisory patent examiner will be available during and after the webinar to answer any questions.

Presentation overview:

  • Gain awareness of the questions to answer before claiming your invention
  • Learn how patent claims can be written, what to emphasize, and what to avoid
  • Learn about one possible approach to drafting patent claims

We will discuss the parts of the claim and will include claim illustrations from issued U.S. patents.  The presentation will be particularly helpful for those inventors considering filing a patent application and for those who are currently prosecuting their patent application.

Inventor Info Chats occur on the 3rd Thursday of each month, are free and open to all.
