The USPTO Military Association (UMA) and OHR are co-hosting a job fair for veterans and transitioning service members that will be held Friday, Sept. 14, from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the in the Madison Auditorium at the Alexandria campus. Those who are interested can register by Sept. 13 while space is still available. Registrants should bring multiple copies of their resumes.
Attendees will have the chance to speak one-one-one with recruiters from several private companies and 13 federal agencies including the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of the Treasury, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the National Institutes of Health. The recruiters will answer specific questions about job duties and qualifications. Staff from the Office of Human Resources (OHR) will also be on hand to walk attendees through the USAJobs application process and provide details about the USPTO’s competitive salary and benefits.
The event will also feature three engaging information sessions on interview preparation, resume writing myths, and veteran recruitment at the USPTO. The sessions will be available in the morning beginning at 10AM.

8 a.m.: Registration Check-In Begins
8:45 a.m.: Opening Remarks, Collin Nole and Candice Dow, UMA (Madison North)
9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Job Fair opens (Madison South and Lower Atrium)
