New requirement coming for multifactor authentication
On May 1, 2025, we will use stronger multifactor authentication methods to give you better protection when you log in to your USPTO.gov account. If you're using text messages (SMS) or voice calls to verify your account, you must switch to a more secure method by April 30. You can still use email to authenticate your account. See the multifactor authentication options webpage for more information. Once you choose an option, you must download, install, and configure your chosen method on your device.
Notice of opposition filing function transition to TTAB Center
On March 13, 2025, we transitioned the notice of opposition filing function to our modernized Electronic System for the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, i.e., TTAB Center. TTAB Center features a modern user interface with cloud-save applications, sharing tools for practitioners, and more. Resources are available to support the transition to TTAB Center, including an informational webpage and FAQs.
If you have used TTAB Center prior to that date, clear your browser’s cache to access the upgraded version of TTAB Center.
You can submit feedback on the new filing functionality using:
- The feedback button on the bottom right side of each page in TTAB Center
- Our feedback form
