Are you a law student interested in learning about a career as an intellectual property (IP) attaché representing U.S. government interests and helping U.S. stakeholders internationally? Register now to participate in a free virtual program featuring a panel of five current USPTO IP attachés and the program’s director, who will talk about the attachés’ role in improving the IP landscape around the world.
The IP attachés are diplomats posted to United States embassies and consulates who advocate for the benefit of U.S. stakeholders to improve policies, laws, and regulations that protect IP abroad. During the one-hour program, the participating attachés will talk about their work overseas, their individual career paths, and opportunities in the field of IP law. A question-and-answer session will allow for participant feedback.
While this event is open to everyone, law students in Kansas and Nebraska are encouraged to attend. The program is organized by the USPTO’s IP Attaché Program in collaboration with the USPTO Rocky Mountain Regional Office and the Washburn University School of Law.
