Public Engagement Partnership Meeting: Discussing the patent challenge process before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board

Join us virtually for our third Public Engagement Partnership meeting, happening Wednesday, September 4, from noon to 1 p.m. ET.

We will cover:

  • The petition process, the policy behind the America Invents Act’s (AIA) creation of these proceedings, and PTAB's procedures for conducting the proceedings
  • A case study of a proceeding involving a pharmaceutical patent
  • Statistics on proceedings involving Orange Book-listed and biologics patents

The meeting will be especially valuable for members of the public—including those in patient advocacy groups, public interest-focused nonprofits, and academia—who are interested in learning more about the patent challenge process before the PTAB.
