**Starting May 1, 2025, myUSPTO will switch to more secure multifactor authentication (MFA) methods for added protection when you login to your USPTO.gov account to access our systems and applications.
If you're using text messages (SMS) or voice calls to verify your identity when you log in, you must switch to a more secure method by April 30 to avoid any impact to your service. Email verification to authenticate your account is still an available option. Further information for the new authentication options is provided on our informational webpage.
If an authentication method other than email is your preferred selected option, you must download, install, and configure your chosen authentication method on your device used to access MyUSPTO and P-TACTS.
