E-commerce for Native American artists and craftspeople

E-commerce for Native American artists & craftspeople webinar series 2022 signature graphic

A monthly series of webinars exploring the challenges and opportunities for selling Native American arts and crafts online and establishing or expanding an online presence

American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian visual artists faced unique challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the shift to online sales and limits on attendance at local arts and crafts fairs, where their work has traditionally found a home.

In 2022, the USPTO held monthly webinars that offered information and guidance to Native American visual artists from experienced entrepreneurs, e-commerce sellers, intellectual property specialists, artists and craftspeople, and others on how to navigate the e-commerce environment.

The monthly webinars were recorded and made available for viewing after each program date. For more information, go to the individual program pages linked below.

This series was organized by the United States Patent and Trademark Office's Office of Policy and International Affairs, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Interior’s Indian Arts and Crafts Board (IACB) and the Indian Dispute Resolution Services Inc. (IDRS Inc.).
