Check status and view documents in TSDR
You can check the status of your application online at any time by using the Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) system. Once your application is filed with us, you’ll receive a serial number in your filing receipt. Just go to TSDR, type in your serial number, and you can see what’s happening with your application, as well as view, print, and download any documents in your file. You’ll also be able to see if you have any outstanding deadlines to respond to.
New documents may not show up in TSDR immediately, so don’t worry if you don’t see a document in TSDR on the same date you filed it. New applications typically appear within four to five days. Due to an unexpected surge in filings, new application uploads might take upwards of 60 to 80 days. If you’re not sure what something means regarding the status of your application, contact TAC at TrademarkAssistanceCenter@uspto.gov or 1-800-786-9199 (press 1).
You can check the current processing wait times to find out how long your trademark filing could take. Filing your initial application, response form, and post registration accurately can speed up the process. You can help by reading these tips on avoiding processing delays.
After your trademark registers, you can continue to check its status and view documents in TSDR by entering either your application serial number or your registration number.
