China IP Road Shows and webinar events
With its China intellectual property-related (IP) events—including the China IP Road Shows and China IP webinars—the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) offers U.S. businesses and rights holders, especially small and medium-sized businesses and new-to-market exporters, the unique opportunity to learn how to better protect their IP in China. Both the China Road Shows and the China IP webinars are free and open to the public. Upcoming and past events are listed below.
China IP webinars
The China IP webinars offer similar content to the China IP Road Shows, but in a shorter (usually 90-minute) format that is usually focused on a specific IP topic, presented by one or more of the USPTO’s China IP specialists. These online programs are accessible no matter your location.
China IP Road Shows
The China IP Road Shows are one-day events that represent a collaboration between the USPTO and a variety of organizations across the country, including universities, USPTO regional offices, business groups, state and local governments, and other federal agencies. These programs bring to local businesses and stakeholders the expertise and knowledge of the USPTO’s China specialists as well as that of special invited guests, who often include local businesspeople.
China IP events across the country
Since 2017, the USPTO’s China IP Road Shows have visited dozens of cities. In addition, China IP webinars are held virtually for a wider audience.
